What Are Requirements For Using UV Aging Test Chamber?

Aug. 24, 2018

1. The maximum thickness of the sample in the UV Aging Test Chamber should not exceed 20 mm to ensure sufficient heat exchange to cause condensation on the test sample.

2. The coating test sample for the steel base plate shall be such that the rust on the edge does not contaminate the surface of the test sample.

3. For strip test samples such as plastics and rubber, it should be fixed on aluminum alloy or other panels with good corrosion resistance and good transfer performance.

4. Holes larger than 1 mm on the test sample should be sealed to prevent water vapor from escaping.

5. Evaluation of the appearance of the chamber from UV Aging Test Chamber Supplier: The coating is mainly evaluated for the appearance. The plastic and rubber can also be evaluated for appearance when necessary. The items to be inspected are mainly gloss, color change (color difference), chalking, speckle, foaming. , cracks and dimensional stability, etc., should use the instrument to do quantitative project testing, such as gloss, color difference and so on.

Evaluation of mechanical properties and other properties of UV aging test chamber: tensile strength, elongation, hardness measurement, plastic measurement impact strength, elongation at break, tensile strength and flexural strength of general rubber materials. Other performance test items may be specified as necessary.

If the user uses the ultraviolet aging test chamber to test according to the above, the test results can not only be accurate, but also improve the efficiency of the test.
