The proposed Thermal Vacuum Chamber (TVC) is designed for thermal vacuum tests and thermal cycling of DUTs (Devices Under Test), typically, subsystems and modules for space applications.The complete system comprises the vacuum vessel, the vacuum pumping subsystem, the thermal subsystem and the control subsystem

Product Details

Vacuum vessel, horizontal cylinder, door opening over rails.

Vacuum chamber nominal dimensions: diameter of 3500mm, and cylindrical length of 3000mm. 

Approximate internal volume: 37.500L. 

Cylindrical shroud nominal dimensions: diameter of 3000mm, and cylindrical length of 3000mm.  End disks: 2*3000mm diameter.

Thermal system:

Option 1: Infrared Heating Hot & Cold Counter System 

Heat Sink Shroud: Direct Injection of LN2 

Baseplate: Direct Injection of LN2

Infrared Heating Cage with a TCU(Thermal Conditioning Unit)

Temperature range: -150℃ to +150℃. 


Option 2: GN2 recirculation with a TCU(Thermal Conditioning Unit)

Shroud: GN2 recirculation with a TCU(Thermal Conditioning Unit).

Baseplate: Direct Injection of LN2

Temperature range: -150℃ to +150℃.

Note: the customer needs to provide water supply, electricity, gas, nitrogen, compressed air, liquid nitrogen, etc.


Vacuum pumping system, including mechanical rough vacuum and high vacuum pumps.

Ultimate vacuum: ≤2*10-6mbar.Time to evacuate the TVC from atmospheric pressure to 5*10-5mbar is 8 hours approximately.Control and monitoring console for the vacuum and thermal systems. The scope includes: Design, Analysis, Fabrication, Supply and Commissioning. A picture of a similar TVC is shown in the figure below.
